Hello 2016!

Well hello everyone. It's been quite some time since my last post! Thanksgiving, the Holidays and the New Year flew right by. 2015 was a great year for me all around - I painted often and participated in art shows, moved back to New York (although I dearly miss CA), started a new position with Restoration Hardware, and my sweet niece and Goddaughter, Andriana, was born. I cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store for me. My goal is to push myself to take my art and blog to another level and focus on growing in the design field. I'd love to see where it can go if I truly put my all into it. In the meantime, I've had my eye on some new pieces for our place so I wanted to share a sneak peek. Stay tuned for which ones end up in our home :)

NY Resident: September Issue

Happy Friday! September is here and I'm pretty excited for the east coast fall weather that I have missed living in California for the past 2 years. If you don't know already I write a bit for the NY Resident Magazine -- primarily articles on trending real estate in New York City and also design features. So check out the magazines website -- they have a link to the actual issue. SO much good content that is worth reading, even if you're not from New York, from design to food to getaways and more.  This months design feature was all about having pieces in your home that serves purpose without sacrificing style. The real estate feature is on The Charles which is quite the luxurious gem in Manhattan. Enjoy and I hope you have a Happy Labor Day! Let the festivities begin...

Moments I Love In My Home

I brought a few items from New York back to my apartment in Cali and realized I had to shuffle some things around to make it work in my apartment. What's pretty awesome though is that most of the things I do have are able to work in different rooms or areas. I'm not talking big pieces of furniture either - just smaller items like candles, frames, and succulents. I really love having versatile decor because then if and when I move I know it will have a place. Here are some pics I took around my apartment of all these items in their new homes. Hope you like them as much as I do :)

had to bring it back with me since she was giving it away. I love it.

An angled yet full view of the top of my entryway console. The 

clear, acrylic tray is perfect for catching my keys and sunglasses 

when I walk in. The framed print inside is a post card I got from NYC.

These are just some moments in my apartment that I just love. I don't see this decor moving any time soon.
